Paris, je t'aime!- Travel Diary

I guess Audrey Hepburn was right when she said that Paris is always a good idea. Despite some mishaps (read down below) Paris didn't fail to amaze me, it's such a lovely city and almost feels like it's a world itself.

After what felt like a decade in the train, we finally found ourselves in Paris. We had brunch in the Hotel Amour, which took us about 2 hours to get to (hence not taking a map with me...) I absolutely fell in love with this place, it looks like a tiny jungle with all the trees and plants. We got seated outside which was nice, considering the weather. I opted for a chicken salad and a cranberry juice which were both really tasty.

I must say that I didn't think that Paris was actually THAT big and that you can get lost so easily. We did eventually find our way to the hotel which was located near the Eiffel Tower. I actually had to buy a pair of flats on our way because my feet were killing me (silly me thought it'd be a good idea to wear heels). At one point I was even running around barefoot in Paris. We were just about to reach the Eiffel Tower when my mum realized that our train tickets were gone! Somebody either took them or she left them somewhere.  Luckily, we had ordered them online and could reprint them. After our little scare we enjoyed the last sun rays near the Eiffel Tower. When the sun was settling down we checked in and got our hotel rooms. I quickly got changed and unpacked my clothes before we went out.

We had dinner at this really cool Italian restaurant called "Linguini" near our hotel. Because we were all very exhausted from the train journey we headed back to our hotel to get some sleep.

On the second day, we went sight seeing which was a lot of fun! We saw all kinds of attractions (Notre Dame, Pont des Arts,etc...). There was even a flea market around the Seine with all kind of old books and souvenirs.
Before we left, we stopped at the Champs Elysees which again didn't fail to amaze me. We were running out of time, so we only went into a few shops. Despite all the controversy around Abercrombie, I must say that the store looked rather impressive and so did the shop models. After our little shopping spree it was time to say au revoir to Paris.

Paris was such an amazing experience, and thinking back of it now it still makes me smile. Even though I only spent two days in the City of Love, I truly feel connected to Paris and hope to visit again soon.

Anyway, enough of me.

Hope you enjoyed!
